Technical tour will be organised on Saturday, September 21st, 2002. The tour begins at 9 AM. The end is planned at about 2 PM.
The programme of the tour includes viewing of selected hydro technical installations
located along the bank of Wisła (Vistula River) in the Warsaw region.
Though the installations will not be visited, they will be seen from the ship.
During our trip we will travel under five bridges. The oldest bridge was rebuilt directly
after the World War II. Last to the south is a new bridge, which will be put
into operation on the day of trip. We will pass under it just minutes
before the official opening ceremony.
In course of cruise we will see:
- Infiltration water intake in midstream on the river
- Flood protection gates
- Infiltration water intake on the river bank
- Floating objects assuring proper work of the drains of water intake
- The pillars of bridges
- Intake and drop of water from the power plant
- Wild unregulated river section
- River section containing regulation buildings of the Warsaw region
- The panorama of old city seen from the river
- Recreation grounds on the river banks
